About

I live in a small town in England named Newport
Pagnell. The town is situated 50 miles north of
London and is known as the home of Aston Martin
where the cars were hand built from 1954 - 2007.

I’m the founder of Domainscanners, a modern
forward thinking company focused on
delivering leading edge IT solutions
including hosted internet based systems
and services and bespoke software
development.

I started programming computers as a kid
in the early eighties. I began my working
career in 1987 on a youth training scheme
working for SD-Scicon as a fault
co-ordinator looking after computer field
engineers based in the UK. I soon became
a field engineer myself after continuously
hassling my boss & frequently being found
in the workshop, taking computers apart &
occasionally managing to put them back
together again. I left Scicon after four years &
worked for a year at De Montfort University's
Milton Keynes campus as a techie looking after an
open access PC lab. This was the last permanent
job position I held. I then went back to Scicon
(which had been acquired by the American giant
EDS) as an IT contractor focusing on networks &
LAN rollouts. I spent another four years contracting
with the firm working on various projects
throughout the UK & Europe.

In an effort to switch over to professional software
development I continued to contract for the next
four years for companies such as IBM, BP OIL,
Deutsche Bank, Mercedes Benz, KPN Qwest &
Vodafone.

These opportunities armed me with enough experience to
finally realise a burning ambition & I partnered with my first startup
company at the turn of the Millennium & founded my own company in
May 2005.
